April Showers

Hi everyone

I've been off work for a few days so we've been doing the usual - a bit of shopping and taking in some castles with the kids. I thought I'd get some cards made but I've been a right old couch potato so this is the sum total of everything I've done. One measly card.

I would have liked to have put a charm on this but do you think I had a wellie or an umbrella or anything to do with the rain? No. We even went to Livingston to see if they had one there but there was only a muckle great big thing and that would never do for Tilda. So here's the card, without a charm.

My recipe:
Image: Tilda in Spring Rain by Magnolia
Coloured with Promarkers
Papers: Baby Shower Umbrellas by Probo Craft
Cardstock: Coredinations
Flowers: Prima
Brad and Twinklets: The Hobby House
Flower Centre: Prima
Ribbon from Stash
Silver Stickles
Tools: Cuttlebug and Bubbles Embossing folder
Sentiment: Computer Generated

I can enter the following challenges with this card:
Fab n Funky which is "No Longer Neglected". You have to use a neglected stamp. I always ask for Magnolias for birthdays and then never get around to using them all.
ABC Challenges which is "S for Sparkle".
Papertake Weekly is Cutie Pie this week.
Truly Scrumptious is the sketch and the optional theme of "April Showers" which I've used as well.

That's it, then. Thanks for dropping by.

Lynne.

Tilda with Flowers

Hello everyone

I hope you are all having a nice weekend and enjoying the sunshine. This card is for my sister who gave me a lovely present recently. She's just moved house so I'll make her a New Home card as well but first things first so this one is to say thank you for the present. We went to our Perth craft shop recently, hadn't been there for ages, and they had got loads of new Magnolia stuff in. Don't you just love these little red flowers - of course we had to have some and all in different colours to match the papers. Delicious!

Card Recipe:
Image: Tilda with Flowers by Magnolia
Coloured with Distress Inks
Papers: Magnolia
Cardstock: Die Cuts with a View
Flowers: Magnolia and Wild Orchid Crafts
Pin: Hobby House
Tools:
Cuttlebug; Labels Nine;
Martha Stewart Punch
Silver Glammer Dust
Sentiment: Hero Arts

I can enter this one for the following challenges:
Allsorts: Petals and Pearls
Charisma Cardz: Thank You card
ABC: R is for Red

That's it. Thanks for looking.

Happy Tilda

Good morning everyone

Not like me to post a card in the morning, but I'm off work today so I thought I would do it while I had the chance. I'm watching wee Steven while Suzanne takes Jack to a hospital appointment and he's hooked on Fireman Sam so I've got five minutes before he demolishes the living room!

I've made this card for Suzanne for her birthday and since it has punches on it, plenty of sparkle and is nearly all shades of blue, I can enter it for the Just Magnolia, PaperPlay and Cute Card Thursday Challenges this week. I love this Tilda - I think she looks like she's running around in her pyjamas.

My card recipe:
Image: Happy Tilda by Magnolia
Coloured with Distress Inks
DP's: Magnolia
Cardstock: Coredinations
Flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts
Tools:
Cuttlebug and Petite Ovals
Martha Stewart Punch Around the Edge Punch (I only used the border one)
Lots of glitter glue on the flowers and around Tilda's clothes
Sentiment: Kanban
Verse: Internet

I can enter the Just Magnolia Challenge which is Punch It Out , PaperPlay which is Gloss, Shimmer or Sparkle and Cute Card Thursday which is Monochrome Mania.

Hope you like it. Thanks for dropping by.

Easter Bunny

Hello everyone

I hope you've all had a nice Easter weekend. I expect you're all back at work now - never mind, we've got another long weekend coming up soon.

This is a card I made for Easter. I've seen straighter stamping but I love the image. Another of those gorgeous little Lili of the Valley ones. I treated myself to some at the SECC and I wish I'd bought more. I might go online!

My card recipe:
Image: Lili of the Valley coloured with Distress Inks
Designer Papers: Easter Morning by Reminisce
Cardstock: Coredinations
Flowers and ribbon: from stash
Happy Joyful Easter Stamp
Frosted Lace Stickles
Tools:
Martha Stewart punch
Cuttlebug and oval Nesties

I did use a sketch from somewhere but it's taken me so long to post the card I can't enter the challenge! I can enter these, though:
Charisma Cardz: Animal Magic
Cute Card Thursday: Easter with optional egg or oval shape on card
Fab n Funky Challenge - Spring is in the Air
Colour Create - Choice of Pastels with optional extra of Easter or Spring theme

Thanks for looking.
