Lavender and Lace

Hello everyone

Thought I was never going to get this card made. I don't know what's going on at the moment but I don't seem to be able to get anything finished.

Thank you all for your good wishes for Sam. He had a lovely party - up dancing and everything. He told me he's not a hundred, that's much too old for anyone to be. He's starting all over again so he's a week old now!

It's taken me ages to finish this card but here it is.

This is my recipe:
Image: WOJ - Willow Dressing Up
Coloured with Distress Inks
Papers: Sorry, I don't know who makes this but it's called Lavender and Lace something or other
Cardstock: Coredinations
Ribbons, lace, pin and pearls from stash
Flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts and from stash
Stickles glitter: Silver, Lavendar and Starry Night
Tools: Cuttlebug; Nellie Snellen multi frames; Fiskars punch

I can enter this for the following challenges:
Whiff of Joy - the lovely sketch
ABC Challenges - O is for One Paper
Paper Jewels Challenge - Cute and Girly (this is their first challenge)
A Spoonful of Sugar - Distress Inks, Pearls and Glitter (or I think you can do any one of them if you like. I've done them all)

You're how old?

I'm going to a 100th birthday party on Friday night. Sam, the man who is 100, is an amazing person - lives on his own, does all his own shopping, still likes the football and a wee dram. Incredible. Of course, I had to make him a birthday card. This really challenged me. Not only am I not very comfortable making men's cards, I've never made a 100th card before! This one was way, way out of my comfort zone. No Tildas here!

My recipe: Cuttlebug and Spellbinders Nesties Labels One
Cardstock: Coredinations
Ribbon and Gems: from stash
Numbers: Cut by hand and embossed with green sparkle embossing powder and heat embossed
Sentiment: Dovecraft Clear Stamps
Fiskars Threading Water Punch
I'm sorry it looks black but it is green, I promise you. If you click on the picture you can see a bit better that is a nice emerald green. Just right for a football team with Irish roots.

I can enter it for several challenges:

Cards for Men - Green (perfect because Sam is a big Hibs supporter!)
Charisma Cardz - Male
Cupcake Craft Challenge - Keep it Simple (I had real difficulty with this one - it's simple allright)
Paperplay Challenges - Birthday card for Someone Special
Pink Elephant - Use Ribbon
One Stop Craft - The fabby sketch

That's it. It's a bit plain, I know but something different. Thanks for dropping by.

Sending you hugs

Hi folks

Here I am, back with my boy's card. I've made this card in response to an appeal for cards to be sent to a wee boy, Daan, who's very unwell. I hope it's suitable for him. You can read about him here and maybe send a card yourself if you feel you want to .

My recipe:
Image: You're My Best by Mo Manning
Coloured with Faber Castelle water colour pencils
DP's: Hot Off The Press - Boys to Men paper pack
Cardstock: Coredinations
Ribbon, Jump Rings and Teddy Charm from stash
Sentiment: Computer generated

I can enter this card for the following challenges:
Cards for Men - The Sketch
PaperPlay Challenges - Love Notes
Allsorts - Distressing (I quite like distressing but you have to get the blooming hoover out every time you use that blessed tool!)
Crafty Cardmakers: Digital Elements - it's a digital image
One Stop Crafts: Colour combo - Apple Green, Chocolate and Clotted Cream

I hope Daan likes his card.

Thanks for looking.

Tilda in the pink

Hello everyone

I hope you've had a nice weekend. I've had quite a lazy time of it - been to Livingston today after watching Celtic win at Dunfermline. At last! Things might be on the up and up now. Bought a couple of nice things at the Papermill shop but I'm trying to keep my pennies for the Hobbycraft Show at the SSSC in March. They'll have quilting stuff there as well so no doubt there will be some things there I will want to buy.

I've called this card "Tilda in the Pink". I don't have a lot of Tilda stamps and this is one of the older ones that I like a lot. I think it actually belongs to Suzanne but she lets me use it.

My card recipe:
Image: Tilda with flower
Coloured with Distress Inks
Designer Papers: Imaginisce - Loves Me/Wild Hearts (I used both sides)
Cardstock: Coredinations
Ribbon from the Papermill shop
Tools: Cuttlebug and Bubbles embossing folder
Flowers - punched
Small roses from Wild Orchid Crafts
Gems - Kanban
Silver Glammer Dust

I can enter this card for quite a few challenges:
Pink Elephant - All About Pink - in honour of Ella
Papertake Weekly - Love Actually
Stamp Something - Love Somethings
Crafty Calendar - Love and Friendship (with the added option of hearts)
Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge - Monochrome Tones of One Colour and White
Charisma Cardz - I Love You
Stampin for the Weekend - Love is in the Air - Valentine themed
Friday Sketchers - The fabby Sketch

That's it. Hope it's not too pink!!

I'll be back during the week with a card for a wee boy - that'll challenge me!

Thanks for dropping by.
