Princess Tilda

Good afternoon everyone

It's not often I manage to get to the computer in the afternoon but I've managed to grab half an hour before I go back to work this afternoon. I bought this Tilda a while back and haven't had a chance to use her yet. Isn't she lovely?

My card recipe:
Image: Princess Tilda - Magnolia
Coloured with Distress Inks
Papers: from my scrap box
Cardstock: Coredinations
Flowers, lace, rub on and bits of embellishments: Wild Orchid Crafts and from stash
Tools: Sewing machine; Leone Em branch punch; Martha Stewart border punch
Silver, Lace and Green Stickles

I can enter these challenges:
Just Magnolia: Dawny P's fabby sketch.
Totally Tilda: Glitter and Sparkle
CRAFT: Fancy Floral
Crazy 4 Challenges: Bling

I'm trying to use all my bits and pieces up that's why all these bits of paper are from my scraps. If you saw the area I work from you wouldn't believe it - I'm such a slob, honestly. My theory is that if I haven't got as much stuff to leave lying around, I can't make as much mess so I'm trying to use the bits and bobs up. Once I've done that I can go out and buy some more stash!

See you next time.

Sitting Pretty

Hello everyone

It's been a mad dash to get to the computer first today. Suzanne has moved house and has no internet connection so because she has her D.T. stuff to do, she has first call on my p.c. I say "my" pc, but really everyone in the house uses it and I come a poor 5th or 6th after all the facebooking and everything has been done. I have got a few cards done though so once I get a bit of time on the computer I should get them posted.

This is another of my older Sugar Nellie stamps that I dug out the other week. I love my Nellies and I think it's a real shame when they only get used once or twice and then stuck away. I don't know if Karen will ever beat these little stamps for appeal. Anyway, here is "Baubles" in all her glory.

My card recipe:

Image: Baubles - Sugar Nellie
Coloured with Inktense Pencils
Papers: from my scrap box so I'm sorry I can't tell you what it is
Cardstock: Coredinations
Ribbon, Gems and little gold flower embellishments - from stash
Flowers: handmade
Tools: Cuttlebug and Season's Greetings Embossing Folder
Red and Gold Stickles
Tim Holtz Ticket
Sentiment: I think it's a Hero Arts one

These are the challenges I can enter this card for:
Christmas Stampin All Year Long: Photo Inspiration (I took inspiration from the baubles on the tree and the colours)
Charisma Cardz: Anything Goes
Totally Gorjuss: Christmas
Wild Orchid Crafts: Ribbons and Bows
A Spoonful of Sugar: Anything Goes
The Crafty Pad: Embossing

This was a very easy card to make and I did it all with bits that I had in my boxes so it cost me nothing at all. I hope you like it.

Dress-Up Maggie

Hello everyone

I thought I'd dig some of my older stamps out this week. I haven't used Dress Up Maggie for ages. I love this image - she looks like she's all dressed up ready to paint the town all different colours. I should have called this post "Painting the town pink, green, blue and yellow!" I always use green and pink for Maggie; she suits these colours so well. I've given her a bit of bling but I don't think she really needs it. I don't know where my stamping was going on the Happy Birthday. It's like the Burma Road, up and down! Never mind, here she is - all ready to go.

My card recipe:
Image: Dress Up Maggie - Sugar Nellie
Coloured with Promarkers
Designer Papers: Bella Press
Cardstock: Coredinations
Ribbon, buttons and gems from stash
Lavendar Stickles
Tools: Cuttlebug; Nestabilities Labels One; Big Scalloped Circles and Daisies Embossing Folder
Sentiment: Kanban

I can enter these challenges;
The Sugar Bowl: This is the sketch and the optional extra of using buttons
One Stop Craft Challenge: Fashion Through The Years
Fab n Funky: Photo Inspiration. This is a beautiful cake dress which made me think about dressing up.

That's all for now then. The Sugar Bowl have a DT call if you are interested. Hop on over and take a wee look. See you later.

Willow with Champagne

Good morning everyone. I hope you are all having a nice Sunday - those of you that don't have to work, that is. The weekend goes by far too quickly, doesn't it? You've no sooner got past Saturday evening and you have to start thinking about work again.

I haven't posted much recently but I've been very busy so I have plenty of cards just waiting to be photographed. Suzanne is going to be involved in a charity Sale of Work in October so there's a lot to do.

This is a card which will probably make it's way onto the "For Sale" table. I bought this image ages ago but I don't think I've inked her up before.

My card recipe:

Image: Willow with Champagne - WOJ
Coloured with Water Colour Pencils
The Designer Papaers are by Imaginisce
Cardstock: Coredinations
Martha Stewart Border Punch
Flowers: A mix from Wild Orchid and from stash
Pin and ribbon: from stash
Pearls: Kanban
Silver Stickles
Glitter Glue

I can enter this card into these challenges:
Sketch and Stash: This is where I got the lovely sketch and I used Willow who was quite neglected
Whiff of Joy: Use layers (at least 2)
Wild Orchid: Pearls and Pins
Die Cut Dreams: Pearls and Pins
Cutie Stamper: Glitter

That's it for just now, then. Thanks for looking.
